I found these awesome wipe off boards in two sizes in the Target Dollar Spot last week:
I thought the bigger ones would be perfect for small group work. I purchased 5 of them.
The smaller ones came in packs of 4, so I got enough for a class set. I thought it would be fun to practice writing our names on them or for showing me an answer to a question. 🙂
What would you use them for?

I would definitely use them for the children’s names as well as for practicing sight words.

I used the small ones for writing. They would dictate a sentence to me and I would write it on the small whiteboard so they would have that to copy from and I didn’t have to waste my post-its! I used the big ones for board math. I bought a class set of the big ones! They would write all their answers on them to each question. We would also practice spelling and writing sight words on them and letters in the beginning of the year.

Kristen, what type of dry erase marker do you use for an activity with your students? I bought several of the skinny Expo markers and they dry out so fast. While my students are using them, they stop working. I do think my kids keep the caps off too long but they should last longer than that. Thanks for all you do to help us teach our precious Kinder kids!

Hi Cindy,
I use the thicker EXPO markers and we spend lots of time putting the lids on correctly! I also use the Crayola dry erase crayons. I like them because they erase cleanly and come off pretty easily. They also don’t have lids so they last longer. 🙂
I’ve never had much success with the skinny dry erase markers. My kids seem to loose those caps more often.
