Ways to Make Sheets
I had such a wonderful response about my Ways to Make Sheets in my last post, that I created them for sale on Tpt. In this set, there are pages so your students can practice composing and decomposing numbers from 2-10. You can see examples below. Most of the pages look like page 2 with the boxes in a line, however, the page for the number 10 has a ten frame that the children can use to make 10. My students can see groups of 10 much easier if it is grouped on a ten frame.
I use mini-erasers for my students to complete these sheets. For the Ways to Make 10 page, they would need 10 of each kind of mini-eraser. For the Ways to Make 2 page, they would need 2 of each kind of mini-eraser. I get my mini-erasers in the Dollar Spot at Target or the Dollar Tree. They have them out seasonally. I just dump them all in a big box together and we pick out a matching amount of the number we need. When I give them to the kiddos to use, I place the number of erasers they need in portion cups, so they have an easy way to transport them to their tables. You could also use two sided counters or two different colors of unifix cubes–use whatever you have around!
You can click on any of the pictures above to go to my Tpt store to purchase. 🙂
