100th Day!
I’m a little behind in posting this! Two weeks ago was our 100th day of school!! We have 5 Kindergarten classrooms in my school and the kiddos had the chance to visit all 5 classrooms to celebrate.
I got this adorable banner from Red’s Treehouse in their 100th Day pack.
We had a special Morning Message to welcome in the 100th day of school!
We then made 100’s day trail mix!! I had 10 of ten different fun foods and the kiddos used 10 of each item to make their trail mix. I found these fun mats off of Pinterest. 🙂

Bird Feeders!
I’m so excited!! Look what I got in the mail on Friday at school! I visited with the nice folks from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology last year at NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) and found out about their program to have elementary aged students help with bird counting–this is something my Kinders can do! 🙂 I get a newsletter from them monthly and about 2 months ago, there was an application for the Adopt-a-school program. We were chosen!!
This is what was inside the box:
A window bird feeder, bird seed, and 10 student binoculars for bird watching!!
I can’t wait to show my kiddos! We already have 5 bird feeders outside our class room windows and a poster near the windows so the kiddos can identify the birds (and squirrels) that visit our feeders. This will help us to bring the birds up close to the windows and let my kiddos have a chance to watch them with their binoculars.
Thanks to Pennington Bird Seed Company for choosing us!

Valentine’s Day
If you’re still looking for some ideas for your classroom for Valentine’s Day/February, here are a couple of items from my TPT store that might fit the bill:
I LOVE this I LOVE Math pack! It includes several different activities that are easy to get ready for your kiddos! I’ve also included the Conversation Heart Sorting and Graphing activity that my kiddos enjoy every year!
We are always working on recognizing quantities on ten frames and this Ten Frame BINGO game has really helped my kiddos do that! Included are enough mats for children to play as a whole class or in a small group. My February Problem Solving Pack is another one of my favorite items! We use this a lot in February to help us work on subtraction, measurement, and decomposition of numbers. Included is a February Math Journal cover to make using these on a daily basis a breeze! Just print out a booklet for each child, attach a cover, and instant Math Journal! We use these as an opening Math activity–to review a concept we learned the day before or to practice a new skill.
You can click on any of the pictures above to check them out. If you leave a comment and follow my blog, I will choose one winner on Thursday to send my I LOVE Math pack to (just in time for Valentine’s Day!)
