Camp Go Noodle!
Have you heard about Camp Go Noodle yet?
Go Noodle saved my sanity this past school year! My kiddos need the time to get up and move so that their brains can take a break! A few times a day, we would do a brain break together on GoNoodle and watch our “Monster Points” add up! My kiddos LOVED when our monsters would level up and when we got to trade in for a new monster. We proudly displayed our champ certificates and covered an entire bulletin board by the time school was out for the summer.
What’s even better is that Go Noodle has introduced Camp Go Noodle–just in time for summer (and to save your sanity too!) You can be the cool mom who secretly helps your kiddos stay fit this summer by sharing these fun activities and challenges with your kiddos! I can’t wait to try them with my son.
Here’s How It Works:
- Head to “camp!” Each Monday starting June 29, a new set of five adventures will appear at campgonoodle.com.
- Go on new adventures every week! Each adventure uses GoNoodle.com’s active videos and games for inspiration, and challenges kids to use their imaginations, get moving, and be outside. Picture building your own DIY jetpack, creating an obstacle course race, or making sushi with things you already have at home.
- Sing along! Each week includes two brand new camp songs to inspire creativity and movement!
- Connect with fellow campers! Share your adventures using the #campgonoodle hashtag on social media to join the camp community. Each week, “Campers of the Week” will be recognized as “All-Stars” and earn exclusive Camp GoNoodle prizes.
- Earn badges! Complete each week of adventure by printing the weekly badge to hang up, loud and proud.
All you need for Camp is…
Ready to register for camp?
Simply go to campgonoodle.com on Monday (June 29th) and let the fun begin!
Note: If you are a teacher who already has a teacher/school GoNoodle account, you will need to go to this link to sign up to receive Camp GoNoodle emails:
{This is important because Camp emails are only being sent to parent accounts. GoNoodle knows lots of teachers use their school accounts at home – which is completely fine, they just need to make sure they get those teacher-parents in the Camp email list too!}
So who’s going to join us in celebrating summer with Camp GoNoodle???
Grab this blank Linky poster and link up with us!
Once you’ve linked up, display this linky on social media so others can join in the fun

#TeacherFriends Birthday Celebration
I CANNOT believe that our #TeacherFriends Chat is turning O-N-E tomorrow!! What started as a fun idea to get teachers using Twitter in their classrooms has turned into a education celebrity A-list of guests we’ve had over the last year! It has been an AMAZING year and some of the BEST Professional Development I’ve had as we have swapped ideas with THOUSANDS of other teachers from across the country (and sometimes even the world!). To say thank you, we and MANY of our past guests have put together a MIND-BLOWING amount of prizes to be given away during the chat.
First up, here’s a look at the questions for the chat tomorrow night…so you can plan out your responses. 🙂
It’s going to be a FUN, laid-back chat, filled with TONS of ideas and CELEBRATIONS!!
If you are new to Twitter…I recommend using TweetDeck…a much simpler way to keep track of the conversation! 🙂
Here is a look at some of the prizes being given away during tomorrow night’s chat. There are more than this, but this is a sampling with more to come! 🙂
I hope we “see” you tomorrow night! Come EARLY (8:30 EST) for a fun pre-chat and a chance to get used to tweeting, then stay for the fun starting at 9!
Make sure you’re following each of our moderators so you can see their tweets during the chat!

Who’s Who and Who’s New Post- “Reken-what?”
I am honored to be guest posting again over at Who’s Who and Who’s New! Today I’m sharing a post about making your own class set of Rekenrek’s. I’ve wanted to make some for awhile and during a workshop I took 3 weeks ago, I learned more about them, how to use them, and the benefits to my students. Head on over to check it out! (Just click the picture below)
Let me know if you make them! I’d love to see them in action! 🙂
Tuesday Tweet Chat 6/23/15
I hope you’ll join us for another exciting #teacherfriends chat tonight! We start with a slower chat at 8:30 EDT and our guest will join us from 9:00-10:00 to talk about Brain Based Learning. Our guest tonight is Dr. Ellen Weber. Dr. Ellen is renowned for her work in brain based communication and learning and we are excited to be able to “pick her brain” this evening to learn more about what we as teachers can do in our own classrooms.
Don’t forget there will be prizes as well!
Next Tuesday is our 1 year #teacherfriends Birthday Celebration and we are HARD at work planning lots of surprises for you! See you tonight!
